From Birdwatch Cavan This Saturday, the 17th of January, we will meet at Drumlane Abbey carpark at 10am 54°03'32.1"N 7°28'46.2"W - Google Maps
Usually we would go on a Sunday and at a later time, but we have decided to opt for an earlier time on a Saturday as it might suit more people!
We hope to see a mix of ducks, geese, swans and other waterbirds. Highlights in previous years have been the numbers of whooper swans, gadwall (type of duck), and lapwing flying overhead.
If you haven't been birdwatching before, you are very welcome to join us and see for yourself. we can share binoculars with those who don't have any. Dress warmly and the event should last from 1-2 hours.
